Evolution of bone structure, insights on schizophrenic "voices", and an update on the bird flu

Posted by BioCoM Executive Account on June 16, 2014 at 9:15 PM

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a great summer! I figured it was about time to start posting more news for you guys. I think I'm going to keep the trend of Monday being video day.

With that being said, today's video is another SciShow video where Hank talks about how fistfighting fueled the evolution of the human face, new insights into the origin of schizophrenic "voices," and new research into the bird flu.

I thought I'd throw in another one of their videos where they talk about chips made of crikets called "chirps" and the winners of the Kalvi prizes for this year. For those who don't know, the Kalvi prize is awarded every two years to those who have made significant discoveries in their respected fields such as astrophysics, nanoscience, and neuroscience. Mind-boggling stuff guys. It's a must watch.
